Our main concert was held at Chapel Field Methodist Church on Saturday 13th December and was greatly enjoyed by all who attended. There was the usual mix of traditional carols, more modern carols and songs, and some lighter songs to celebrate the holiday season to end the concert. The following week on 17th December a slightly depleted choir due to seasonal illness made its way out to the Broads, to How Hill Trust near Loddon to deliver the concert again there to raise funds for the Trust. We may have been diminished in numbers but were certainly not diminished in enthusiasm and enjoyment and we hope to once again visit How Hill at Christmas 2026.

Summer News 2025

On a sweltering evening in July, Norwich Singers gave a rousing concert of two halves. The first half featured songs from Broadway shows, with the choir performing Rhythm of Life’ from Sweet Charity, and medleys from Evita and Les Misèrables. These were interspersed with two beautiful songs from our soloist Hannah Long, ‘The Trolley Song’ from Meet Me in St Louis and from Camelot ‘The Simple Joys of Maidenhood’. The second half took everyone to the last night of the Proms with all the usual favourites in place: the sea shanties, Rule Britannia, Land of Hope and Glory, Jerusalem and the National Anthem.
